We still will provide answers, but the public wants insurance buying of insurance on line- In the next year the Banks will have this also. Economical is allowing it brokers to use this system also - but only for thier products.
we still need the back office to handle problems in service and claims so brokers will be needed. This will take a shift in the way we do business and it will not be overnight.
Look at what is going on in the U.S.A - Brokers have to moved to this to system to compete against GECIO, Esurance, plus others offering online buying.
In 2010 67% of Canadian bought something on line and why should insurance be different as we buy stocks, bonds, investments on line without brokers.

Hi Judy:
Just to let you know I am the Manager of Special Lines for The Shepherd Group. I am setting up an Equine Division for this firm. Also they are going to be the second broker to have - online buying of car, home , tenant insurance - no broker needed. The new age of insurance buying!!
