Rob Parkinson will be presenting at the Canadian Society of Biomechanics/Societe Canadienne de Biomechanique (CSB/SBC) 17th Bi-Annual Meeting to be held on Simon Fraser University's Burnaby campus from June 6 to 9, 2012. The student workshop will take place on Thursday, June 7 from 4:45 to 5:45 pm and will highlight the opportunities for biomechanics outside of academia, with a focus on the role of biomechanics in the forensic community. Rob’s presentation will cover his academic background, how he entered the forensic field, and the challenges and successes that he experienced within the industry.  For more information, please click here

Russell Brownlee will be presenting at the Transportation Law Seminar & Mock Trial at the McCague Borlack Learning Centre at 130 King Street West in Toronto, Ontario on May 16, 2012.  The mock trial will focus on a single car motor vehicle accident causing injuries, with the inclusion of a tavern liability element. The trial will also investigate the design and the condition of the subject roadway, and to what duties/obligations the municipalities’ owed to the driver. For more information, please click here

Russell Brownlee will be the keynote speaker at the full day forum on School Siting and School Site Design for a Healthy Community on Thursday, May 17, 2012 in Hamilton, Ontario. Russell’s presentation will focus on the planning and designing for safety within school areas. His presentation will draw on years of experience related to school planning, design and operations as a municipal employee as well as through in-service safety review consulting work. The workshop is being held with the support of the City of Hamilton, Metrolinx and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Russell Brownlee invited once again to present Road Authority Risk Management related to transportation maintenance at the Ontario Good Road Association (OGRA) Practical Urban Maintenance Course on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in Guelph, Ontario.  The presentation will focus on the forensic investigations and liability aspects of road maintenance and includes a number of case studies from Ontario jurisdictions.  For further details, please click here

The Giffin Koerth Solar Energy Group has announced they have exceeded 5 megawatts (approximately 21,000 panels) of solar commissioning.
