That certainly is possible - if you have the right technology.  Do you use a TP hosting service or do you do the infotech on your own?

I am attempting to set up a processing department and would like to be able to have all activities and scanned documents in the same location for 4 users to work from - does anyone know if this is possible

As I understand it, Epic is a completely new product. It runs on SQL Server instead of dBase (used by TAM). SQL is a modern database language, while dBase was state-of-the-art in the 1980's. Because of this, Applied Systems will be able to deliver up-to-date features and functionality that is currently either very difficult or impossible with their current TAM product.

Applied is working hard to make the look and feel of Epic such that a TAM user will be able to operate it with a minimum of instruction due to its interface similarities.

Applied has promised that Epic is an included software update, so we won't have to purchase it (other than any training or underlying systems such as SQL Server).

Hope this helps. Are you an ASCnet member? There's lots of info available from their website (

Someone please tell me about Epic - we are most eagerly awaiting this system. I have great hopes that it will reduce some of the tedious processing tasks. I have no idea of how the new system will work.

I use TAM now and am looking forward to starting with Epic. As a commercial producer I have found the Policy Works portion to be really useful.
